OUR MISSION

The core mission of our initiative 'Eat Well, Feel Good' is to help meat eaters feel good about the meat they choose to consume

Eat Well, Feel Good fosters meaningful change by focusing on the welfare of livestock and promoting ethical consumption.

We achieve this by investing in and delivering research, practical support, innovative solutions and enhancing visibility of animal welfare for better decision-making.

Who are we

Technical, Commercial, Experienced

Impetus is founded by a veterinarian and commercial animal welfare expert both with strong technical and hands-on experience in animal welfare in the region. There is a combined experience of 16 years working intensively in production, transport and slaughter of cattle and pigs. Both founders hold a Masters in International Animal Welfare Ethics and Law at the University of Edinburgh. The combination of academic, practical, and commercial experience is rare in the animal welfare space.

Impetus will work with any party, be it government, academic or commercial who are willing to support positive change for animals in the region.

By leveraging a broad network of supportive associates across the region Impetus will help activate, support and enable a movement of improvement. Together we can improve the plight of commercially farmed animals today.

Impetus aims to achieve the most positive impact possible with the resources available. The team is particularly committed to short-term, high impact intervention strategies, which can positively affect animals currently in the livestock production system
